Microbiological Testing of Cleaning Products Manufacturers of cleaning products are responsible for ensuring the microbiological quality and stability of their products to guarantee safe consumer use.
For low microbiological risk cleaning products, where microbiological testing may not be required—such as products with high or low pH values, products containing more than 20% alcohol, or products based on organic solvents—scientific justification must be provided to demonstrate that microbiological testing is unnecessary.
