Water & Pool Water Testing

Water and Swimming Pool Water Analyses are laboratory tests performed to evaluate the microbiological, chemical, and physical characteristics of water. The purpose is to protect public health, ensure water quality, and maintain hygiene standards.

Microbiological Analyses

Detection of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, moulds, and yeasts in water and swimming pool water.

Key tests include:

  • Detection of Coliforms and E. coli (indicators of faecal contamination)
  • Detection of Legionella (particularly in hot water and spa systems)
  • Detection of pathogens such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterococcus

Chemical Analyses

  • Measurement of parameters such as pH, chlorine level, heavy metals, nitrate, and nitrite
  • Determination of parameters including turbidity, colour, odour, temperature, electrical conductivity, and total hardness. These parameters are important for ensuring water quality and user comfort.
  • Particularly for swimming pool water, these analyses monitor the effectiveness and continuity of the disinfection process.
  • They help ensure that pool water pH and chlorine levels remain within the optimum range.

Water and Swimming Pool Water Analyses for Consumer Health and Safety

The presence of microorganisms may lead to serious infections. The early detection of pathogens such as Legionella, E. coli, and Pseudomonas is therefore of critical importance.

Disinfection and System Management

These analyses verify the effectiveness of chlorine and other disinfectants and support the hygienic management of water circulation systems. Laboratory analyses are essential for monitoring and confirming the effectiveness of the disinfection process.
