Vitamin Analysis in Cosmetic Products

Vitamins are widely used as functional ingredients in cosmetic products, particularly in facial creams and skincare formulations. Commonly used vitamins include pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) and other B-complex vitamins in various chemical forms such as panthenol and pantethine. Bee pollen and royal jelly, which are naturally rich in B vitamins, are also incorporated into certain specialty cosmetic products. Among all vitamins, Vitamins A, C, D, and E are the most frequently used in cosmetic formulations.

Vitamins used in cosmetics may be natural, synthetic, or semi-synthetic, although synthetic forms are the most commonly used.

According to the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK) Guideline on Cosmetic Product Claims, if a cosmetic product claims to contain a specific ingredient or to possess properties associated with that ingredient, those claims must be supported by scientific evidence. Claims cannot be made unless the finished product has been demonstrated to possess the stated characteristics.

Bilim Laboratory provides vitamin analysis to support cosmetic label claims such as “Contains Vitamins”, helping manufacturers substantiate product claims and comply with applicable regulatory requirements. For more information about vitamin testing services, please contact us.
