Porcine DNA Testing in Cosmetics

Today, animal-derived ingredients may be used in cosmetic products for various purposes, such as reducing production costs, extending shelf life, or improving product texture. In particular, due to the potential use of porcine fat and porcine gelatin in cosmetic products, it is important to verify the absence of Porcine DNA in products intended for consumers with Halal requirements.

In our laboratory, Porcine DNA Analysis is performed using the Pork Assay Kits method and Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-Time PCR) technology to provide reliable detection and support manufacturers in offering products that meet consumers’ Halal expectations.
