Feed is defined as a product containing organic and inorganic substances that do not cause harmful effects when provided to animals raised on agricultural holdings within specified limits.
In accordance with the Regulation on the Placing on the Market and Use of Feed, compliance with label declarations must be verified. Under the same Regulation, feed must not contain foreign materials such as weeds, dust, and soil, nor should it contain rapidly proliferating bacteria, moulds, or mycotoxins. In addition, feed additives used to improve animal productivity must comply with the limits established by applicable legislation and standards. Therefore, feed analyses are of great importance.
Compliance of feed with the relevant standards is verified through the appropriate analytical procedures. In our laboratory, mycotoxin analyses (Aflatoxin, Ochratoxin A, Zearalenone, Deoxynivalenol, and Fumonisin), macro and micro element analyses, and wet chemistry analyses (fat, moisture, total ash, and crude protein) are performed quantitatively using nationally and internationally recognised analytical methods, taking into consideration the applicable food codex, regulations, communiqués, and other legal requirements, in accordance with the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
In addition, our laboratory provides accredited microbiological analyses within the scope of the Regulation on Microbiological Criteria for Feed of Animal Origin and accredited GMO analyses in accordance with the Biosafety Legislation.
